A blog about mental health

Drift Away: Awaken Your Inner Phoenix

Hello there, HUMAN!

Shout out to those who reached out and shared their gratitude for our National Suicide Prevention Month posts. We were truly grateful for it because we were very hesitant on posting that – Two Part series to begin with. We did hear back from readers requesting to not post about depression/suicide, which is why we want to make sure our readers understand what to expect on our blog going forward.

Below you’ll find a few examples of future posts:

Mental Health (including Suicide/Suicidal Thoughts) – Informative

Tidal Waves – Poems

Drift Away – Short Stories/Passages

Our blog was created in order touch base on ALL mental health aspects. Not just what society is comfortable with. It was also created to share our writing with those who want to dive into our world.

With that, we leave you with our first passage about awakening your inner Phoenix.

We hope you enjoy.

Shed your past and Rise into your Future.

It is said that this bird burned itself and then rose from the ashes. Can you imagine fully embracing death to then rise from those very ashes?

When I think of a Phoenix, I imagine a majestic bird roaring in the flames and soaring freely in the sky. Leaving behind a trail of orange (sacral chakra) and red (root chakra). Never looking back at the ashes.

“Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall.”

– Confucius

Understanding that life is full of cycles, is the first step to awakening your inner Phoenix. Often, we get so wrapped up in a cycle that when it seems to be coming to an end – we enter panic.

This is the death of that cycle. At that moment we must accept all as is and just surrender. Surrender knowing that you will rise because you have now erupted with all you need to enter your next cycle.

Stay tuned for our next post, who knows what it could be about.

Leave a comment with suggestions on areas you want us to touch base on.

We appreciate any feedback. <3
